Lead Automation Engineer – Siemens PCS7 (9 Months)

ROLE SUMMARY

Our CDMO client in Switzerland requires a Lead Automation Engineer to lead the introduction of a new process control system (Siemens PCS7) to their manufacturing hub in the Basel area. This is a contract position that is initially approved for 9 months with high likelihood of extension.

Tasks include:

• Develop implementation plan in collaboration with Global Engineering to ensure timely rollout of new process control system across 4 manufacturing buildings.

•  Develop and outline site automation standards for future projects rendering to GMP guidelines such as GAMP 5, 21 CFR Part 11 and GMP Annex 11.

• Guide the technology/engineering teams in troubleshooting controls and visualisation solutions at the manufacturing site.

• Lead project engineering & instil a ‘best-in-class’ approach to project execution.

• Oversee several Jr Automation Engineers (FTEs) and support their development through the rollout of the new process control system.

Requirements:

• Educated to degree level & accomplished training engineering field (Automation/Electrical Engineering)

• Several years experience in a project environment within Automation

• Expertise within programming and rollout of PCS7, Simatic S7, TIA, WINCC and expertise on fieldbus systems such as Profibus and Profinet

• Previous experience with Siemens Bach Systems would be beneficial

• Fluency in English is required (Reading, writing & speaking)
