ROLE SUMMARY

Our biotech client in the South East of the UK requires a Associate Director of Engineering to lead a number of Engineering Shift teams to deliver the overall group’s Engineering targets. This is a permanent position that is due to onboard in Q1 2024.

Tasks include:

• Providing clear goals and purpose for the systems, facilities & utilities engineering teams

• Defining scope, requirements and interfaces between teams and tasks

• Hands-on maintenance and support of equipment, instrumentation, calibration, utilities, system qualification, building management systems, process controls, process engineering and facilities

• Giving support and cover to wider site operations as and when required

• Regularly reporting group performance to stakeholders

• Lead the shift-based engineering teams across 24/7 operations including recruitment, retention and resource management

• Plan and manage plant shutdowns to facilitate routine utility systems maintenance and requalification

Requirements:

• Educated to degree level & accomplished training engineering field (Project Management/Engineering)

• Several years experience in a GMP environment within biotech/pharmaceuticals ideally within utilities & maintenance

• Regulatory audit experience

• Management of external contractors

• Fluency in English is required (Reading, writing & speaking)
